Community Service

 

 

Adventist® Community Services (ACS) currently provides services such as disaster response, emotional and spiritual care, community development, urban & inner-city ministries, older adult ministry, young adult emergency services corp, Hope for Humanity, tutoring and mentoring programs, and much more. 

ACS Adventist® Community Services has more than 1,250 localities and upholds the beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist® World Church organization.

ACS Mission 

Adventist Community Services is the official community outreach ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist church in the North American Division territories which comprises of North America, Guam and Micronesia, and Bermuda. ACS serves the whole person, a concept known as holistic ministry whose mission is to “serve communities in Christ’s name”.

Food Pantry Distribution

Free Bagged Food Distribution every Tuesday in our Community Center: 4727 N. Broad Street. Philadelphia PA 19141 at 11:00 am.

Feeding the Less Fortunate: Food and Evangelism

Our Children's Church goes out into the Greater Philadelphia Area in various spots to feed the less fortunate. Hope with the Hoytes provides Food, Clothing, Blankets, Christian Reading Material on various dates in Philadelphia.

Food Distribution dates vary.

Urban Ministry

Urban Ministry, sometimes called Community Development, provides vital help to individuals and families who are unemployed, working-poor, uninsured and disadvantaged in poverty stricken and urban areas. It offers relief services, promotes individual and community development that includes equipping community members with skills to become self- sufficient and engages in public advocacy.
